The sculpture, titled Forever I Will Seek to Know the Truth of Why I Can See More Than I Meet, is the second in a series of florals dedicated to my grandmother, Claudette. Born from grief, these works challenge the bounds of the feminine. They interrogate a sensuous familiar form, embodying defiance against the hegemonic mold and imbued with both power and inherent eroticism. The rose asserts a fierce autonomy, standing resolute against conventional narratives of femininity, challenging submissiveness and celebrating strength and unapologetic grace. It is a tribute to my forever loved Palestinian woman.
